THE LOVE CULT

"Eric the Great," a hypnotist who makes smalltown television appearances, forms an organization combining religious fervor with sex in order to defraud people of their money. He and his wife, Aggie, con and hypnotize people into contributing their money and possessions to the cult. Wealthy nymphomaniac Claire Blakesley, after attending one of his meetings, donates her country house as a temple in hopes that the hypnotist (now calling himself "Eros") will create an atmosphere in which she can practice her own sexual deviations. Eros eventually loses control of his disciples: his wife is raped and Mrs. Blakesley is murdered. Eros goes mad and the organization is dissolved.
